Youth Climbing Teams
The Redpoint Youth Climbing Team is a fully inclusive program tailored to ages 5-18 of any skill level. Whether your child has never climbed before, or has been climbing for years, we have an exceptional coaching staff and program to help ensure that we help them grow not only as climbers but as individuals.
We categorize our teams into 4 different levels: RP1, RP2, RP3, and RP4.
RP1 is our beginner program that mainly tailors towards younger kids. This is the perfect choice for kids who are either just getting into climbing and wanting to learn the basics, or have been at it a while and want to keep their sessions light and fun with plenty of games and activities.
If they aren't feeling challenged enough, RP2 is our next step up and perfect for those that are wanting to truly lean farther into the sport. RP2 team members can still expect plenty of fun and games, along with the introduction of more technique drills and basic exercises. We typically recommend that kids 13 and up who are brand new to climbing jump straight into RP2 since they will usually outgrow the difficulty of our RP1 sessions very quickly. As a result, we have a younger and older session for this level.
RP3, our advanced team, is the perfect challenge for kids who have experience climbing and want to push themselves to improve as much as possible. In RP3, we teach advanced techniques and up the difficulty in our workouts/exercises, all while maintaining a fun and engaging environment for them to bond with their teammates.
Lastly, RP4 is our advanced competition team. RP4 is a continuation of the RP3 team, with a specific focus on competition climbing in the USA Climbing Youth circuit. Our team members go head to head with other climbers all over the country, with several of our team members qualifying at the Divisonal and National level this previous season. This team is perfect for those who are climbing at a high level and want to try their luck at competing with other exceptional climbers in our local region and beyond.
